3.1 With Creators

When you subscribe or purchase content, creators can see:

  • Your display name and avatar
  • Subscription status and duration
  • Your comments and interactions

3.2 Third-Party Service Providers

  • Stripe: Secure payment processing
  • Cloudflare: Content delivery and security
  • Supabase: Database storage
  • AWS: Media file storage and processing
  • Meta App Events (ad measurement): On by default in the Android app and can be turned off anytime in the app's Settings; in the iOS app it is on only after you opt in. While on, we share app activations, install-related information, successful registration/login, receipt of an interaction reply, paywall views, checkout starts, eligible verified paid purchase events, and SDK-processed technical data such as device identifiers (on Android, including the advertising ID), app/OS and network information with Meta for attribution, measurement and improvement of Govoko ads. These are individual events, not anonymous aggregate statistics. Amount and currency are reported only when trustworthy verification of the actual amount paid is available, never inferred from a storefront price; otherwise no purchase event is reported. iOS also requires system tracking permission. You may decline or turn this off in app settings without affecting other features. Turning it off stops future reporting but does not automatically delete information already lawfully transmitted. Our event payloads do not include card numbers, receipts, transaction credentials, Govoko member IDs, chats or media content

3.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information when:

8. Data Retention

  • Account data: Active period + 30 days after deletion
  • Companion chats: standard users’ records are automatically deleted after 180 days. Chats and memories from the VIP period are saved permanently, including after subscription expiry. Past moods and events are not treated as current. You can still delete records or ask to forget.
  • Content data: Per creator settings
  • Listed characters: remain after account deletion under platform management, credited as "Deleted creator" and not linked to any personal data; unlisted or in-review characters are deleted with the account
  • Payment records: 5-7 years as required by law
  • Technical logs: Auto-deleted after 90 days

9. International Data Transfers

Your data may be transferred to servers outside your country. We ensure recipients maintain equivalent data protection standards. Using our service indicates your consent to such transfers.

10. Policy Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. Significant changes will be communicated via email or platform announcements.

11. Third-Party Social Platform Integration (Meta / Instagram / Threads)

When you use Govoko's "Social Publishing" feature to authorize a connection to your own Instagram Business or Threads account, the following terms apply:

11.1 Permissions Requested

  • instagram_business_basic: Read basic information about your Instagram Business account (account name, ID, profile picture, account type) so you can confirm the connected account in the Govoko dashboard.
  • instagram_business_content_publish: Publish reviewed images or short videos to your own Instagram Business account when you publish them manually, schedule them, or explicitly enable per-character synchronized publishing in Govoko.
  • instagram_business_manage_messages: Requested incrementally only when you separately enable Instagram messaging. It receives messages people initiate with your professional account so you can reply. By default, it sends a reply only after you review, edit, and press send for that message. If you separately turn on "Character replies to messages" for a character, the AI writes a reply in that character's voice only within 24 hours of the person's message (Meta's reply window) and, depending on your choice, either saves it as a draft for your approval or sends it directly. Replies may include a system-generated link that only points to Govoko (govoko.app), and directly sent messages are labelled as an automated AI character reply. It never initiates contact with someone who has not messaged you.
  • instagram_business_manage_comments: Requested incrementally only when you separately enable Instagram comment scanning. It reads comments that other people leave on your own Instagram posts and prepares a suggested draft; by default, a reply is sent only after you review, edit, and approve it. If you separately turn on keyword private replies, when a comment contains a keyword you set, the system may send one private message to the person who left that comment (at most one per comment, and only within 7 days of the comment; you choose whether to approve it first or have it sent automatically), and may post a short public reply under that comment if you enable it. If you turn on spam auto-hide, comments containing contact details, spam or advertising, abuse or harassment, or sexual content are hidden automatically. Hiding is not deleting — you can unhide a comment at any time from your dashboard. It never comments on other accounts' posts or contacts anyone who has not commented on your posts or messaged you.
  • instagram_business_manage_insights: Requested incrementally only when you separately turn on Instagram performance data. It reads performance metrics (such as reach, interactions, and profile views) for your own Instagram professional account and posts, shown on the Performance page. It does not read data about any other account.
  • threads_basic: Read basic information about your Threads account.
  • threads_content_publish: Publish text, image, or video content you have reviewed in Govoko to your own Threads account — either when you publish it yourself, or on a schedule you configure. Scheduling is off by default, and you can disable it or return to per-item approval at any time.
  • threads_read_replies / threads_manage_replies: Read replies on your own Threads posts and automatically create suggested drafts. A reply is sent only after you review, edit, and approve that item, and only from your own account. If you turn on spam auto-hide, replies containing contact details, spam or advertising, abuse or harassment, or sexual content are hidden automatically (not deleted; you can unhide them at any time). You can also choose who may reply to the posts you publish from then on.
  • threads_manage_insights: Read performance metrics for your own Threads content for creator dashboard analytics and suggestions.

These automation features (keyword private replies, character replies to messages, and spam auto-hide) are all off by default. You turn them on for each character separately and can turn them off at any time; we may also pause automation for safety reasons. Every link added automatically is generated by the system and only points to govoko.app.

Operator notifications: If you turn on inbox notifications, in-app notices, web push notifications, or Telegram messages (only if you link Telegram yourself) about new comments or messages may include a short excerpt of that comment or message. When you link Telegram, we store your Telegram chat ID and username to deliver notifications; you can unlink at any time.

Weekly performance reports and anonymous peer comparison: We compile a weekly performance report from aggregate data for your account (such as post counts, views, engagement, follower changes, comment and message handling volume, link clicks, and sign-ups) and can deliver it by in-app notification or Telegram according to your settings. Peer comparison only combines aggregate metrics across characters to compute medians and quartiles; it shows the overall distribution and where you fall, and never shows or reveals the identity of any other operator, character, or account. It is not shown when fewer than 5 characters or 3 operators are included. You can turn off the peer comparison display in your dashboard.

11.2 Data We Store

  • Platform account ID (Instagram / Threads user_id)
  • Account username and display name
  • OAuth access token (encrypted at rest)
  • Token expiration and granted scopes
  • Connection and revocation timestamps for audit purposes
  • Instagram synchronized-publishing delivery records: source Threads post ID, caption, media type and URL, delivery status and attempt count, Instagram creation / media ID, permalink, error details, and related timestamps
  • Posts you publish through this platform and their results (post ID, permalink, timestamps)
  • Replies left on your posts by others: reply text, the replier's public account name and public avatar URL, reply ID and timestamps. Used only to generate and send your reply and, if you enable them, for keyword private replies and auto-hide decisions; related processing records (matched keyword, private message text sent, hide reason and time) are kept with it. Deleted automatically after 30 days
  • External engagement candidates and reply drafts/attempt records: used to manage external interactions you enable, and automatically deleted after 30 days.
  • Account-level performance metrics (aggregate reach, views, clicks) used to display results in your dashboard
  • Instagram direct messages people send to you: message text, the sender's platform-scoped ID, the sender's public account name, and timestamps. Used to draft and send your reply: by default only when you review each message and press send in your dashboard; only if you turn on character replies to messages does the AI reply in the character's voice within 24 hours of the person's message (directly sent replies are labelled as automated). We never message anyone who has not contacted you first. Deleted automatically after 30 days. Applies only if you have enabled messaging

11.3 Data We DO NOT Access, Store, or Share

  • Your follower or following lists
  • Any data about third parties who have not interacted with your posts
  • Any data unrelated to publishing, replying, or displaying your results
  • Any data unrelated to the publishing feature

11.4 Token Security and Retention

All access tokens are stored encrypted with AES-256-GCM; the encryption key is held separately from application data and is not distributed with the source code. Tokens are retained only while you maintain the connection. We immediately clear stored tokens when:

  • You manually click "Disconnect" in the Govoko dashboard
  • You remove the Govoko app authorization from your Instagram / Threads settings (triggered via Meta Deauthorize Callback)
  • You request deletion of your Govoko account (all tokens and related data are purged within 30 days)
  • The system detects the token has been revoked or invalidated by the platform

11.5 Data Deletion Requests

You can request deletion of Instagram / Threads-related data we hold via any of the following:

  • Click "Disconnect" on the Govoko "Social Connections" page
  • Remove the Govoko app in Instagram / Threads settings — Meta will automatically notify our platform to purge data
  • Email a written request to support@govoko.com

When we receive a Meta Data Deletion or Deauthorize callback, we clear the token and account connection data and also delete Instagram synchronized-publishing delivery records for the affected creators that own those connections.

The following callback endpoints are registered with Meta to handle these requests:

  • Data Deletion Callback: https://govoko.app/api/meta/data-deletion
  • Deauthorize Callback: https://govoko.app/api/meta/deauthorize

11.6 User Responsibilities

By using the social publishing feature, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are the legitimate owner of, or have explicit authorization for, the connected Instagram / Threads account
  • You will not use this platform for spam, impersonation, coordinated inauthentic behavior, or any violation of Meta Community Standards
  • All content is published only to accounts you have authorized, and is sent by your manual action, by a schedule you configured, or by automation you explicitly enabled. You can switch to per-item review or disable automation at any time

Share operational diagnostics

After sign-in, Govoko collects optional background events about feature views, onboarding progress, chat delivery status, timing and fixed error codes to improve product flow and reliability. Events include an account association, platform, app version, timestamps, screen categories and necessary character, operation and random session identifiers. Authorized administrators can compare them with existing registration, login method, country/region and successful chat records. Country/region uses coarse request geography, not precise location.

These events do not copy chat or prompt text, photos, audio, passwords, tokens or URL query content, and are not used for cross-site tracking or advertising identification. Raw operational events older than 30 days are deleted by the daily cleanup schedule. Existing account and business records follow their separate retention policies.

Turn off Share operational diagnostics in Settings to immediately clear unsent events and stop future optional events on this device/browser. Previously sent records follow the retention period. Web also respects GPC/Do Not Track. Essential login, payment, security and chat records continue; this control does not change third-party SDK settings. No additional popup is required, and uncollected historical actions are not invented.
